A random variable XX has logarithmic series distribution with parameter 0<p<10<p<1 if

P(X=x)=(−1)/(log⁡(1−p))px/x,\mboxforx=1,2,… . P(X=x)=(-1)/(\log(1-p))p^x/x, \mbox{ for }x=1,2,\dots.
